Palestinian Conflict

Behind is one of the mosque minarets inside the Harem al Sharif, or Temple Mount area, where the al-Aqsa mosque is located. Violent clashes broke out as Palestinian streamed out near the Lion's Gate following the completion of prayers in a day that also marks the anniversary of the start of the first "Intifada" in December 1987.
